Statement

With the constant coming and going of new and old magazines / decided to come as its predecessor 'douche' decided to go. Throughout the process of a new magazine both then and now a lot things come into focus. Who you can trust, who you can't trust , who you want to trust, but know you can't and then there's always who you never wanted to trust but felt you had to. A lot of these scenarios play out in the development of a magazine. In my situation, being basically the only person behind a magazine, I was forced to make decisions I felt I needed to to keep a magazine alive. Advertising Directors, Advertising Agencies, Distributors, Author/Advertising Director Wannabes, and the celebrity all were players in the game of do or die. Well, a year later / Magazine is born and my new motto is just trust yourself and everyone else around you that should fall into place will and leave it at that. / will promise to hold it's original foundation even in the end. It will strive to be something interesting and not so worldly driven. Articles that pertain to real people and most of the time are created by real people will be inside of it and some fashion here and there. Enough about the past and future of this and that magazine.

Let's talk magazines, my favorite topic. I own thousands. About a month ago I pulled down my current apartment stash(not my entire collection) and laid them all out for one gigantic group portrait. I then excel filed them as I often love to do to things and came to the conclusion that I don't spend enough money on magazines. I spend thousands and I'm still not satisfied. I should be spending more and more everyday, trying to find that one magazine that will ultimately allow me to stop. I thought I had found it in the pages of EXIT, but then Another Magazine comes along and Flaunts it's latest ISSUE and then everything comes Crashing down. Let's not forget the huge WAD of others including Dazed, Pop, The Face (r.i.p.), DV, i-D, Fjords, SOMA, Nylon, Big, Nest (r.i.p.), Self Service, V, Purple, Visionaire, Index, and if i'm forgetting you I'm so sorry. I'm the biggest Sleaze and for that you can paint me Not only Black and White but with all the Colors of the Surface of the Planet and go ahead and shoot me with a TANK.

Anyway, everything's all Clear now and I really want to learn French and do an Interview with a HoBo for the next issue.
